Rolling Out Music launches Rolling Out’s next chapter: a Black-owned, artist-first music and creative label that leverages the brand’s 25 years of cultural storytelling to build careers — not just singles. The label brings together editorial reach, distribution know-how, touring and sync capabilities to offer artists a unified platform for ownership, visibility and long-term careers. The new venture is led by Rolling Out founder Munson Steed alongside entertainment executive Richard Dunn and industry entrepreneur Dennis McKinley.
Unlike traditional models that focus only on streaming or radio, Rolling Out Music uses Rolling Out’s national media footprint and multimedia production capabilities to amplify artists through features, documentary content, branded campaigns, and curated live events across key markets (Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, Detroit, Miami and Philadelphia). The goal is transparent partnerships that center ownership, touring, sync/licensing and marketing — so creators retain more control while reaching new audiences.
